Does Amazon only publish positive reviews? In that review, I promised to finish reading the book, and I intend to keep that promise, even though I'm temporarily sidetracked by Pat Conroy's SOUTH OF BROAD, which is a local book club book that I have to pass on soon.CULTURE OF KNITTING had such promise. Very good insight into what happened in the background of the war on terror. I don't have a soup only book so when I saw this one, and saw that it was such a great price I had to get it! I'm glad I did. This is my second review of this book, and this is why. Rosen isn't the easiest read but he is brillant and writes like a very brilliant person talks. The information that comes out of the FDA cannot be trusted. If you are an academic yourself and used to reading students' writing, tuning out the contorted attempts to sound intellectual and recognising their insights, you might be able to get on with this book, otherwise, I really can't recommend it. Adam and Tim are passionate runners. I should have updated this weeks ago. This book is probably the best introductory reference on spectroscopy currently available, and I've checked out pretty much every book on the market right now. If I couldn't have the coconut oil and butter and other fats, I don't know what I'd eat. Standard textbook outlining most spectroscopic techniques as taught at undergraduate level. Stories are great.. What can you say about a cycle manual except that it is just that. Great book!.The bulk of the book--the is concerned with Mozart's life and compositions from his arrival in Vienna in 1781 to his death there some ten years later. Although there are many accounts of Mozart's life, and countless descriptions and analyses of his music, this is the first attempt to portray Mozart's creative life as a composer. Küster selects forty works or groups of works covering virtually every important stage in Mozart's career, from the first keyboard works of the young Wunderkind to Mozart's final days and the composition of the Requiem. Drawing on the tremendous advances in Mozart research over the last thirty years, and the publication of the New Mozart Edition, Küster's book makes a major contribution to our understanding of the creative development of the composer who represents for most musicians and music lovers the highest pinnacle of musical achievement.. Each chapter deals with the developments and events in the lives of the Mozarts as associated with or highlighted b"Full of original and challenging observations."--Choice
